After KL's ASK project (Area Synergies Map) was launched in the wake of the green tripartite agreement, the municipalities have carried out a great deal of work, where many municipal professionals and GIS employees (geographical information system) have gathered key knowledge in 15 new data collections. They are now available in the  Data Catalogue, which is run by the joint public data collaboration Danmarks Miljøportal.

Here the so-called gross lists are presented, a number of data sets that municipalities and others can use as inspiration in the work with land conversion and green transition, with a particular focus on finding synergies between several area interests.

- A "power" has been put on the ASK project, now that the gross lists can be found at Danmarks Arealinformation. This makes it easier for municipal professionals across the board to find relevant data sets and get started with synergy analyses across interests such as biodiversity, drinking water, afforestation and general land use planning," says Line Hvingel, project manager at KL.

The data collections are based on broad collaboration between municipal GIS and planning employees and cover joint public sector national datasets, which in practice are considered relevant in the work on the green tripartite agreement. They are not authoritative lists, but serve as a kind of cookbook for which data is interesting to look at and examine when working with land redevelopment.

- It is great that KL facilitates the preparation of these inspiration lists, involves the municipalities and brings municipal professionalism into play. We are pleased with the collaboration and being able to provide a platform and functions so that important knowledge is shared and can be used broadly, without municipalities having to be GIS specialists to get started, says Inga Marie Galløe, project manager at Danmarks Miljøportal.

The data collections are already available in the Layer Selector under Danmarks Arealinformation as well as several of the Environmental Portal's data exhibition platforms and constitute a significant contribution to the digital support of the green tripartite agreement.

Read more on www.kl.dk/ask and find the lists in the Data Store that are displayed across the Danmarks Miljøportals exhibition platforms – e.g. on danmarksarealinformation.miljoeportal.dk. Find the data collections by searching for "ASK" in the search field.
