New data in Datakataloget: Digital Forest Map 2022

Digital Forest Map – Area Map is an overview of all Danish forests that can be observed from space. The map is owned by the The Agency for Green Transition and Aquatic Environment (SGAV) and created using machine learning and satellite data. You can read more about the map layer here. 

How to see the new map layer 

• Open Danmarks Arealinformation or another of Danmarks Miljøportal's systems
• Click 'add layer' in the Layer Selector on the right
• Search for "Digitalt Skovkort 2022''
• You can also find WMS and WFS etc. at Arealdata. 

What is Layer Selector? 

The layer selector allows users to add map layers from Danmarks Miljøportal's Data Catalog. The layer selector is used on Miljødata, Danmarks Arealinformation and a number of other platforms from Danmarks Miljøportal, where users can see data in maps.  

The data catalogue contains information about all datasets exhibited by Danmarks Miljøportal and other data distributors. The Data Catalogue thus forms the basis for the Layer Selector and the Data Store, Arealdata, Danmarks Miljøportal's QGIS plugin and some datasets are also displayed on the Agency for Digitisation's Data Directory.
