Renewable energy on land

The project "RE on land" continues the work of DREAMS by further developing EA-Hub and EA-Tools in collaboration with relevant professional groups and institutions.

At the beginning of 2025, appeal decisions from the Planning Appeals Board and the Environmental and Food Appeals Board were implemented in the EA-Hub. These decisions are now searchable using artificial intelligence on the platform.

EA-Tools has launched a new feature for managing “Templates” and an API that enables system-to-system integration between EA-Tools and external systems (e.g., ESDH systems). The templates are based on specific project types and include a selection of map layers along with associated technical rules (such as buffers and distance measurements). They are defined by subject-matter experts within relevant organizations and configured by Danmarks Miljøportal.

This means that organizations can now perform overlap analyses in EA-Tools directly from their own systems by calling a specific setup in the form of a template.

The most recent addition to the API is GIS output functionality, allowing users to retrieve overlap objects into local GIS software (via shapefiles).

The work of defining templates is ongoing. If you are interested in participating in the template configuration process, you are welcome to contact Karl Rasmus Sveding at: karas@miljoeportal.dk
